|Don't Replace it! Repair it!
Your UCR Campus Store has partnered with LaptopRepair.com to provide the UCR Community with reliable and affordable repair services. They service all notebooks and laptops including Dell, HP,
Lenovo, Apple, Asus, Acer, Sony, Gateway and more. LaptopRepair.com provides component-level repair services including
motherboard repair, LCD replacement, DC jack repair and more.
How it Works:
1. Bring your laptop into CompUCR at your UCR Campus Store and your system will be picked up by one of LaptopRepair.com's specialists. (Pick ups occur 1 - 2 times per week, usually Tuesdays and Thursdays).
2. You will be contacted soon after your system has been picked up and a diagnostic ($65 service charge) has been performed. At this time you will be quoted for the repair services; you will need to confirm by phone that you would like to continue with the repair.
- If you choose to proceed the $65 diagnostic fee will be waived. Service will typically be completed in 1-2
LaptopRepair.com will call for payment over the phone (credit and debit cards) when your system
is repaired and ready.
Upon receiving full payment your system will be returned to CompUCR at your
UCR Campus Store for pickup.
**Some repairs may extend longer than the typical 1-2 day turnaround depending on parts availability
and special order parts.**
- If you choose not to proceed you will be charged the $65 at the time that you decline any further
payment will be collected at this time over the phone (they accept credit and debit).
Your system will be
returned to CompUCR at your UCR Campus Store and you will be contacted to pick it up.
As stated above, whether you are just being charged for the diagnostic fee (if you declined full service) or if you are paying a service bill in full, you will do so by phone with a LaptopRepair.com representative. They accept both credit and debit as forms of payment.
